what do i need to bring to my appointment?

Just yourself! Prior to our first session I will email you the initial paperwork for your review and completion, which can be scanned/sent back to me prior to our session or brought along with you.

Where do i park?

Parking is available on all four sides of the building at a rate of $1.00 per hour, with paid lots nearby as well.

Can i bring my children to the session?

If the focus of your session is family, then yes, children and all family members involved are welcome. If the focus of your session is for individual support, then I ask that children stay with an alternative caregiver so we can focus on your specific needs.

how long are sessions?

Each session is 50 minutes in length. I prefer to meet on a weekly or every other week basis, as scheduling allows, to support you in reaching your goals as quickly as possible.

Do you do telehealth?

Yes - as of March 2020 I started providing telehealth (video and phone) sessions due to COVID-19. Video sessions are held via Zoom.

how do i pay for counseling?

I currently accept insurances as well as out of pocket payment for sessions. I accept Regence, Premera, and First Choice insurances. I also offer superbills for you to seek reimbursement through your insurance carrier if this is an option they make available. Telehealth sessions are included in both insurance and out of pocket payment options.

how long will i be in counseling?

The time you spend in counseling is entirely up to you and your specific goals. Typically, clients are in counseling for 6-12 months, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Is there a limit to how many sessions I can have?

Typically, clients attend therapy services for a minimum of 6 months to support reaching their preferred goals for therapy. Each insurance carrier has different coverage specifications, but I have not yet encountered any limit to the number of sessions available. Any out of pocket clients have no limit to the number of sessions either.
